An African Immigrant Climbed 4 Storeys Build To Save A Child.

A 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama  an  African Immigrant who climbed 4 storeys to save

a little child in Paris France has been awarded citizenship and a job in the ministry of

fire and disaster management.

President Emmanuel Macron invited Gassama to the Élysée Palace on Monday, where he
was given a certificate and a gold medal for performing an act of courage and

passersby was the one that raised the alarm on Saturday on noticing the little boy

hanging in mid-air.

“Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and

get the child,” a spokesman for the fire service said.

The boy’s father, who had reportedly gone out to the shop, has been taken into custody

for leaving the child unattended.

The father is being investigated for abandoning his parental responsibilities, according
to a spokesman for the Paris prosecutor.
He is no longer in custody, but will be sentenced in September, the spokesman said. The
4-year-old child has been placed in care.

He is to be brought before prosecutors on Monday.

The boy’s mother was not in Paris at the time of the incident.

The child has been placed in state care.
